I'm just back from a DSN program (Creating a Divine Society) in Seattle, Washington, offered through the Art of Living Foundation ( Its the most powerful self-transformation program I've ever had the honor to share with others.

Expanding oneself creates expansion in the family, which expands the consciousness in society.

DSN  is a rocket-ship to self-awareness. It empowers individuals with confidence, clarity of mind, enthusiasm with self-motiviation along with an appreciation of sharing it with others. Learning the power of YES v.s. the usual tendency of the mind to say no - brings extraordinary peace and dynamism to life. It's a challenging  to "feel the fear" and "do it anyway!", but, it's worth it.

I can honestly say I don't remember backing away from any challenge in my life, whether it was personal, professional or otherwise.  Although there are a few challenges I probably should have let pass by, especially when i was younger!

I didn't always succeed at first when meeting a challenge head on, whether it was a job promotion, an assignment I didn't feel qualified for, taking a stand or living abroad on my own. There were times
when i was just completely unsure of how to handle things like helping a friend pass on or taking the decision to divorce.

No matter what, to me the idea of not feeling the fear and moving through it, just wasn't an option.
Life is too short to live in fear of the unknown and miss out on the chance to rise to the occasion.
It requires moving out of the comfort zone with faith. It requires a willingness to experience something greater than yourself and trusting that nature loves you - dearly.

My experience is that such a willingness and faith IS the recipe for a purpose-filled, happy life.

This photo is from a few years ago when my nephew Michael, 14 at the time, asked me to go on a ride that  required putting on a harness and free-falling from 50 feet. He promised that if I did it -  I'd be his favorite Aunt for 10 years. It was SCARY but making him happy was greater than sticking to my comfort zone.  He's going on 19 now, and I've got a few more years to enjoy the promise!

The feeling of free-falling like that?

What are you waiting for?

No one is going to knock on your door and present expansion in a pretty package with no risk.
You take the risk and watch how the Divine supports you. It might not look that way at first, but in time - you'll see how much you grow and are richer for the experience. We all do.

When we go beyond what we  think we can do, it's a powerful experience to SEE what we can do!

Always know that the Divine never gives you a responsibility you cannot fulfill. No one ever expects you to treat them if you are not a doctor. No one will ask you to fix their wiring system if you are not an electrician.
  • Your responsibility is only what you can do.
  • You do not know what you can do.
  • Always accept that you do not know what you can do.
  •  Ignorance of your capability can expand you.
When you know what you can do, you can progress. But when you do not know what you can do, you can grow by leaps and bounds.
When you know what you can do, you can do things. When you do not know what you can do, you can do things even better!
